Name?
David Lee
How long have you been DJ'ing?
I could say since I was at school when my mate had a set of turntables and about 10 hip hop vinyl’s between us trying out hardest to mix and scratch. But you can only scratch over remixes of jump by Kris Kros so Many times until you get bored. But properly, I've been playing out in the big clubs now for well over 6 years (when I started taking it seriously) before that I was doing little parties in my dad’s pub.
Favourite drink?
Depends on my mood.... Too hard to choose I love Jäger bombs, JD & coke, & white wine. Favourite beer is either Stella or Estrella. Hard question!!! I'll go with JD & coke. (Hold on is this a question for my rider?)
Any productions?
Yeah recently finished a track in the studio called 'Precious' played it in the summer at the afterparty for the Hat-Club Boat Party at Pacha and it got a great reaction, which is a nice feeling. I have even done a bootleg of 'Precious vs Yalta Groove' by Mark Knight which has also been getting great reactions.
Best Hat-Club moment?
Easy… This summer in Ibiza... Damien and I did a nice long set at Bora Bora where we started of doing about 30 minutes each for a while then going back to back later into the night. I just loved playing the underground stuff on the beach, but when the curtain came up (as they now do at Bora Bora) I guess both of us was kind of expecting the curtain to be the start of the end but the opposite happened and I loved every second of it. We were high fiving and sweating like Barry White! It was great fun!
Favourite hat?
Possibly a poker visor, in the summer, and one of those big Russian things in the winter.
